32GB vs 64GB vs 128GB: Which Dashcam Memory Card?
A dashcam records in a loop: when the card fills up, it records over the oldest footage. So the card size doesn't decide whether it works — it decides how far back you can go before the footage is gone.

- 32GB — about 2 hours of footage before it loops
- 64GB — about 4.5 hours
- 128GB — about 9 hours
These are rough figures — higher resolution (4K) and front-and-rear recording use more space, so times shorten a little.
Which should you choose?
Think about how long you might take to notice something happened and pull the clip. For most daily drivers, 64GB is the comfortable sweet spot. Go 128GB if you run parking mode, record in 4K, or want a longer buffer before footage loops away.
One thing people forget: format it
Dashcam cards work hard, so reformat the card every month or so to keep it healthy and avoid silent failures. Most cameras have a format option in the app or on-screen menu — takes ten seconds.
